One of the true pioneers of the Orange wine region, Bloodwood has been hand-crafting

cool-climate wines since 1983 under Stephen and Rhonda Doyle. The estate vineyard sits at

810–860m elevation, giving the wines — especially their celebrated Riesling — real elegance

and grace. Visits are by appointment only, with a warm, personal welcome from the Doyles

themselves.

Named Cellar Door of the Year in both 2023 and 2024, and Australia's first certified

carbon-neutral winery. The LUX package pairs a premium flight of Ross Hill's wines with a

generously matched tasting plate of cheese, cured meats, nuts and chocolate — a relaxed,

elevated lunch stop overlooking the vineyard.

Optional swap: Word of Mouth Wines can replace Ross Hill at this stop, for the same price. A

small, family-owned high-altitude vineyard (1,030m) at 42 Wallace Lane, Canobolas, Word of

Mouth trades the plated LUX tasting for a large, generous charcuterie board — a more casual,

wholesome, share-style lunch in a relaxed tasting room. Let us know if you'd like to make this

2:00pm — Nashdale Lane Wines (Standard Tasting)

A stylish cellar door housed in a repurposed 60-year-old apple packing shed, with sweeping

views to Mount Canobolas. This family-owned, sustainably-farmed vineyard offers a guided,

step-by-step tasting through its handcrafted range of red and white wines.

3:30pm — DeSalis Wines (Standard Tasting)

DeSalis Wines

125 Mount Lofty Road, Nashdale

Perched at 1,050m on the ‘Lofty Vineyard’

— one of the highest in the region — DeSalis is run

hands-on by the family, with tastings typically held on the deck overlooking sweeping valley

views. An award winner, including Gourmet Traveller WINE's Top 50 Cellar Door Experiences in

the World and Best Large Cellar Door honours.

Return to Orange Accommodation

Your private vehicle will return you to your Orange accommodation to end the day.
